Language Assistance & Translation Services (NZ)

  • Updated

If you have limited English proficiency, you have the right to communicate with us using a professional interpreter.

How to get Language Assistance

We can arrange to use the New Zealand Language Assistance Services (LAS) to connect you with a qualified interpreter for free.

If you require this service, please advise us when you contact us stating the name of your preferred language.

If you have official documents in a foreign language that require translation for your policy or claim, or if you require an official document from us to be translated, we can use the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) Translation Service.

Please contact us and we will discuss the best way to facilitate an accurate, certified translation.

Commitment to You

We use professional interpreters who are bound by strict codes of ethics and confidentiality. Using an interpreter ensures that your claim, policy details, and all communications are handled clearly and accurately, helping you to make fully informed decisions.

If you would like to arrange an interpreter for an upcoming meeting, please contact us ahead of time so we can ensure one is available.
